Here Is Emerald Concerts Announcement 3/5/24:

Rod MacDonald with special guest Rex Blazer

We are so lucky to have internationally acclaimed Rod MacDonald living down here among us! It would be a wonderful tribute to his involvement with our community during the last 3 decades, if everyone came to this show to support and thank him.

Rod MacDonald, brings his newest album "Rants And Romance," which hit #5 on the national Folk/Acoustic charts in summer 2023, along with his renowned songs "American Jerusalem," "Every Living Thing" and "White Buffalo" to Emerald Concerts. If you've ever heard the ubiquitous "A Sailor's Prayer (I Will Not Lie Me Down)" this is the composer who wrote it. An excellent singer and guitarist, MacDonald is also known for his socially-progressive and thought-provoking lyrics. Many of Rod’s songs are part of the permanent collection of the SMITHSONIAN’S Folkways Recordings.

Please send a note with your email address, phone number, and artist donation of $27/pp (made out to Rod MacDonald.) Your check must reach us by March 15.

You can buy a prepaid “advanced donation” $27/ticket by using PayPal or a credit card on Rod’s website: rodmacdonald.net and find Emerald Concert tickets on the upper right side.

Donate $32/ pp cash at the door.

As you know, in the past we have always made a personal donation to the church for generously allowing us to use their space. This year we are going to collect $2/pp from the artist donations to add to what we give the church.

Concert venue:
St John’s Lutheran Church
2919 Van Buren

We intend to hold this year’s concerts indoors, with good air flow and circulation but we are flexible and “viral conditions” will dictate decisions.

Looking forward to seeing you -
At the music!
Leni and David

This is a music party, not a business. The artists receive all of the collected donations.
