House Concerts in Switzerland
Due to difficulties with the previous landlord, we have rebooked the trip to this new location and dates:
June 22-29, 2013
Join The House Concert Group for a week in beautiful Switzerland,
in My Lady's Manor in the ancient village of Estavayer-le-lac.
Here's how it works: everyone pays an equal share of the house rental,
300 Swiss Francs (about $330 US) per person,
plus $250 directly to Rod MacDonald (Box 3844, Boynton Beach, FL 33424) for the music.
Each evening there's a full concert, usually in the house.
Each person is responsible for his/her own transportation (trains & carpooling encouraged) and food.
There is a kitchen, people share cooking and meals, and we occasionally go out as a group.
The house sleeps 17 in 10 bedrooms, so there is reasonable privacy; it's also near the village,
with cafes, shops, a lakefront, and a castle with elevated views, all within walking distance.
There is local train service in nearby towns, and it's about an hour to either Bern or Geneva.
There is free public parking nearby.
For more information, please contact Mark Stenzler at firstname.lastname@example.org,
or email email@example.com
Please note: available places are reserved when payment is received.
This is our fifth such trip, following Scotland, Nova Scotia, France, Tuscany and Spain.
It's a relaxing and highly affordable way to travel compared to hotels and restaurants,
close to hiking trails, interesting culture and spectacular mountains,
and with a congenial and stimulating group of people sharing the music.
